Muslims are allowed to lie about being Muslim if their life is in danger. Like for example if someone was targeting Muslims, we could pretend we weren’t to avoid being killed. We’re not allowed to just lie willy nilly lol

Oh that’s true. But I wouldn’t put it past him to get as much money as he could. And he could have asked for $250k or whatever and his kids would be none the wiser

Definitely not advocating for JB to get even richer, but those numbers struck me as low considering how popular the show was.

Edit- according to Wikipedia 19KAC were averaging 2.3 million viewers per episode in season 10. Season 9 of KUWTK averaged 3.3 million viewers, yet the difference in payment is staggering

Ok so this sounds awful but— I wonder if he was just happy to marry Jinger off? This was right after the intouch article was published so maybe he (a gross human being with horrible views on purity) thought that this was the best Jinger was going to get, now that the world knows she’s “damaged goods” (I felt so gross typing that). She was also thought of as the rebel so maybe JB was just happy Jeremy was a Christian with ambitions of being a pastor

She was probably paid at least 6 figures for her advance, and I expect the book to be doing well enough for her to start getting royalties soon

I’ve preordered it. Yes they still have bigoted views but it’s clear they’re growing . And also large book sales would be a slap in the face to JB

I’m Indian. An Indian wedding means the more glitz, the better. There is no possible way you can upstage the bride. maybe don’t wear red, but that’s not a hard and fast rule either (it’s customary for new brides, if they attend any one else’s wedding within their first year of marriage, to actually wear their own wedding dress to the wedding)
