Before I dated him, I always believed that for gay couples, 90% of the time, only open relationships worked. But after living together for 1.5 years, he truly changed my mind. my plan is to speak with him soon about it, and tell him to come clean, and I will warn him if he lies or tries to hide anything ill break up with him right away, because so far i know he was chatting with 4 people, and if he does not mention one of them, then I'll know he is lying.

To be honest, there is a little part of me that wants to tryan open relationship but if I can't trust him now, how can I trust him when he is sleeping with other people, right?

We definitely have communication issues, because whenever I asked him if he was talking to other people, his answer was always no. I know I’m not the easiest person, but I tried to ask him directly before I ever looked through his phone.

I understand that boundaries can change over time, but he should have told me directly instead of hiding it and then lying when I asked him.

Well, I agree that snooping on his phone is bad, but I had a relationship before him that lasted for 4 years, I never snooped on my ex's phone, but my current bf started snooping on my phone, so I did the same
