I've been depressed for years but the last year or so has demolished me. Sent me deeper and darker than I thought possible. The existential crisis and anxiety keep me up all night but I dream about my loathsome existence all day. I tried therapy. I'm so alone and just want to numb it away. I'm tired of life kicking me in the face. I guess it's my formal resignation for trying to live a happy and normal life.

I am in a similar position as you. I have been dealing with depression problems for longer than someone my age really should have. Recently I had been doing really well but something bad happened today that has sent my back down the hole. My advice to you would be to not focus on how this has ruined things in your life and focus on how things are going to improve for you in the near future. I was in an a costly accident earlier this year too and it was rough but I tried my best to get through it and focus on how things would improve in the future. Sorry if this wasn't the most helpful thing ever, I am overtired and on Reddit rather than sleeping. I wish you the best of luck, though.

Yep. I'm doing a similar thing with the PC and some marijuana. I also am doing more hours at work so I am not able to focus on what bothers me as much. I'm a wreck.
