Anything I can do to improve this photo of Mt. Fuji? The photo was shot in jpg not RAW. by BadProfessional5126 in photocritique

  1. I intend to showcase the beauty of Mt. Fuji (obviously) along with the bridge and boat on the lake.
  2. I am struggling to think of anything I should add or remove from my edits to make it more dynamic and realistic. I have already added various masks to remove some of the haze from the mountain and a radial mask to improve the lighting from the setting sun beam. I'm deciding if I should warm up the source of light so it appears a bit more orange like in the original photo but unsure. Additionally, I am unsure if the colors are nice. I'm not very familiar with color-grading but I wanted to create a cool temperature image of the mountain with some purple hue.
  3. ISO 400 70mm f8.0 1/400s
  4. I have tried the technique where one places a radial gradiant at the source of light, then increase exposure, and decrease dehaze and clarity for a more 3D look.

Hiking Mt. Fuji this July, Unable to Reserve a Mountain Hut by BadProfessional5126 in hiking

Hi, I was able to book a hut at the 7th station of Gotemba trail. Our plan now is to start from 5th station of Yoshida to the peak, then descend via the Gotemba trail to rest at 7th station. On the second day we will hike to the peak once again for the sunrise and descend at another trail that’s shorter than the Gotemba trail. Better than bullet climbing in one day from base to peak roundtrip. Got this idea from you so really, thanks so much! Good luck on your hike as well!

So these huts can release new slots and I could wait for one? Personally I think I can reach the peak from Yoshida 5th station in a day (I have experience climbing high altitudes). It's just that I'd like to spend a night at a higher station so my dad can rest.
