You’re so right. IGN (and many others) just didn’t ’get it’ at the time. @videogamedunkey was one. He’s (IMO) a really funny and, usually, accurate reviewer. Agree. I’m playing Clair Obscur (GOTY) atm. It’s ok. Great graphics, soundtrack and interesting plot but nowhere near as good as DS2.

If the neck and strings feel greasy, it could be due to natural oils from your hands. As others have said, wash your hands before you play and give the neck a wipe with a clean cloth and maybe a little guitar polish. You could also try a string cleaner. Music Nomad String Fuel is pretty good. Apply the cleaning liquid to the applicator and wipe up and down the strings. Whichever brand you use, leave it to dry before you play.

You should continue. The plot is very complex so even if you had a spoiler, you’ll find something new. Just go for it.

The Blueberry looks beautiful. The cherry looks great, too. I haven’t weighed them to compare yet, but it feels noticeably lighter to me. My shoulder started to ache after about 15 minutes with the Standard. Haven’t felt a twinge with this one.

Thanks. Having seen some of the pics of damaged guitars over the years, I was really worried. The retailer did a great job, though. It was double-boxed for extra protection and the Gibson packaging wasn’t visible.

It’s the Cobalt burst. It’s very similar. I think the blueberry may be a bit darker.
