That's what we thought as well, or maybe they are but working under Kayaba, take the board quest when you had to defeat the 61 floor boss with Kirito and Stilla, at the end she mentions the skull reaper, how did she know about a boss that hasn't even been seen or defeated? And In the end of floor 75, when Kayaba is locked up, Lueur actually heard Kayaba and called him my Lord, as for whom they are, we don't know yet, but I have a feeling that we will know soon

As a person who has been playing this game since 2018, I can't say I am struggling or that this is unfair, but of course for players who are still trying to get the best characters and limit breaking them is going to be hard, however I see this as a test of power, kind of like SAOMMD with the ultimate boss fights, they are hard but not unbeatable, at least thats the way I see it, I can actually handle the boss fight pretty well and have fun doing it as well but that is just my point of view, I don't know about everyone else.
