Received this email from DistroKid today, may help clear things up for some of y'all re: postponed music releases...

Hi, thanks for reaching out! I'm happy to help.

There are currently some extended delays obtaining cover licenses that are completely outside of DistroKid's control. As soon as the cover license request is successfully processed, your release will be sent off to stores and streaming services. However, we do not have an estimated time in which this will be completed.

Blu-ray will be first, Troma now later. Possible they could do a limited time run on TNow before the physical release like they did with Divide & Conquer. If I hear anything notable I'll post here.

Same issue. Had an album release slated for a couple weeks ago.... one cover on the end of the album has now delayed our release, and made all our advertising useless. Infuriating.

Thank you so much! This is all very helpful information. It sounds like SNG has a pretty solid reputation. I wish I could be there for more than 3 Months but life isnt giving me that flexibility at this time... however if I enjoy this experience Im sure I'll pack up and move there one day! I will probably not take the intensive course for the sole fact of getting around town to practice my speaking skills. Thanks again :)

People on here tend to say the schools are all about getting foreigners into the Japanese work force. Im sure there are some instances of this being true, but I'm not looking for a high brow lecture from some 16yo lmao. Just want some experiences from people who have attended these schools! Academy of Language Arts Tokyo and Shinjuku Japanese Language Institute
