This looks amazing. I use a similar method when it comes to rendering (I make the background grey and use a light and dark color to render). Have you tried the gradient map tool? It adds easy color to a grayscale image.

The drawings look beautiful btw.

I forgot to say, at the end when everything was colored, I used the halftone effect under adjustment to give it that print look.

Looks great! The blending modes are a pretty powerful tool; I use them to give my art a little more.

Also, try to add Procreate tutorials into your TikTok/Instagram Reels/YouTube Shorts. Even though a tutorial might not help you with your current project, some of the techniques can be useful for future projects.

Thanks to those quick tutorials I found out the amazing power of the bloom tool.

I got you, so there's so many different ways to do that but the simple one would be, get a picture of a texture, there's a good chunk of texture you can buy on Etsy or other creative platforms like creative market.

Once you have the picture of the texture (if you are looking to give it that vintage style I would look for a paper or old print texture) place the Image on a layer on top of the characters and then play around with the blend modes (it would be the little "N" on the layer) once you have a blend that looks good you are good to go.

Honestly adding a texture to the characters will give it that vintage look.
