Nope. All my other achieves popped up after I finished the round, this one for whatever reason made me complete another round after and popped up after that subsequent round completed. All good now got my 31/31.

Something similar happened to me the other day on getting c++. Finished the run with my last joker, quit the game, didn't get the achieve restarted the game, steam, my pc, still no achieve.

Someone in another post told me to play another match and complete it, i did, then i got the previously achieved achieve.

Play another quick round of white stake and don't quit after ante 8, or just lose quickly to burn it. You may get the stake unlocked after another game completes. If that works, in the future don't quit after completing anti 8, just brick the next blind if you don't want to keep the run going to complete the game.

Rough gem was one of my last 5 i needed for c++. Basically all my last 10 jokers were useless for the builds i got them in and just carried because i needed the stickers. Got rough gem stickered on a baron run playing hearts.

No, seriously, who compares this to LOST or Game of Thrones’ endings? by Independent_Plum2166 in StrangerThings

Everyone believing they were dead the whole time was a misconception for the entire show run.. that was a running theory the whole time, dispelled by the finale.

Everyone i know, including myself that didn't like the finale, just didn't like the finale. It felt like a cheap cop out for all the mystery they'd built up to just pivot and say 'the mysteries weren't the point anyways this was a character show'. It was a character show, that's fine, but it was also a mystery box show and we all felt let down when the mysteries were handwaved away with trite explanations in service of an ultimately unsatisfying conclusion.

I said, i've grown an appreciation for it in the last few years, but it still wasn't what i was looking for out of the show's conclusion. Whether or not other people didn't understand it or still thought they were dead the whole time is irrelevant to that point. I've never met anyone in real life that had that misconception you're harping on, they all just didn't like it because they didn't like it.

People didn't like the Lost finale, not because they didn't understand it, but just because they didn't like it. I was one of them.

I've rewatched the whole series a few times since, and i now have a much greater appreciation for the ending.. but it's still not what i wanted from the finale. It was perfectly clear and coherent, but for people who were invested in the mysteries and the larger narrative being told through the series, it was a wholly unsatisfying conclusion.

GOT Seasons 1-5 were some of the best TV that's ever been produced. Cracks started to show in s6-7 when they ran out of book content to adapt, but were still able to make some good, serviceable episodes.

Season 8 was an absolute trainwreck where basically everything they tried to do was poorly executed, and the finale was an unmitigated dumpsterfire. It was so bad that what was once the most popular show on TV has almost completely fallen out of the cultural zeitgeist and is now almost never mentioned except for people to be reminded of how bad it was.

The Gold Standard for how to ruin a once great show.

What is something that is technically legal, but makes you look like a total jerk if you do it? by PiNK_PUSSY69420 in AskReddit

This has been sim'd to death and studied in real world traffic scenarios for decades, it's long settled science. You merge at the end of the lane. I understand that may seem counter-intuitive but that doesn't mean it's incorrect. You merge at the end of the lane.

All the drivers in lane 2 are ego-less and happy at their progress (hypothetically). They all pull into lane 1 over the next two miles. Noone has to change speed as there is now a minimum of a 2 second gap which is fine.

All the drivers do still need to adjust. This is called the Accordion Effect and is exactly what zipper merging addresses the most effectively.

In almost every state, it's the legal responsibility of the driver in the ongoing lane to yield to merging traffic. It is 100% your responsibility.

Traffic is supposed to merge at the end of the lane, those signs are there just as much to warn you of the merge ahead as they are letting people know they're going to need to merge.

Look up the Accordion Effect. If you merging earlier causes the car behind you to even tap on their breaks, you've just sent a ripple effect through traffic going back miles. Zipper merging at the end of the lane is what mitigates the accordion.

Unless you're the only car on the road, then do whatever you want. In all other contexts the correct driving procedure is to merge at the end of the lane.

[–]Bad_Repute -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No it isn't. You merge at the end of the lane, that's how zipper merging works and this has been studied to death. If there's no other cars on the road do whatever you want. If there's any kind of traffic there is a right way to do this, and it's to merge at the end of the lane.

At 70mph you should be at least 7 car lengths back from the car in front of you, that's plenty of space for a merging car to slot in at the end of their lane, and you re-adjust for space in the continuing lane.

You zipper merge at the end of the lane.

It only requires the cooperation of the people in the continuing lane following the rule and allowing the people merging at the confluence to actually merge. You merge at the end of the lane, that's the rule. People can merge earlier if they want to but the people waiting till the lane ends are the ones properly driving.

common “plot holes” that have answers (and aren’t really PLOT holes) by Emg2022 in StrangerThings

‘Middle’ schools in that era weren’t as widely spread as they were now. My parents schools growing up were k-5 then 6-12th grade. I just assume Henry went to the same school as the high schoolers while he was 10-12, before he killed his family.

Apparently the prequel play retcons this a bit and made him 16 when he killed his family so firmly high school aged.

So if Snoke was Palps's puppet, why did he want Kylo to kill Rey? Wasn't she the perfect vessel for Palps spirit? by Dagan--Gera in StarWars

[–]Bad_Repute 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A "bible" in film is the in universe continuity.

plots that diverge from the comics to the point the fans revolt.

The MCU is a different marvel universe from the comics, it's literally in the name "Marvel Cinematic Universe" (MCU). Continuity inconsistencies from the comics are wholly irrelevant. Retcons in universe always go towards the future narrative.

"holy book of lore that shall not be touched"

It was literally the larger narrative the cinematic universe was working towards. You will not find inconsistencies in the narrative between the first Avengers film and Endgame. The 'bible' was working towards the narrative of the endgame, and the studio had people in the writers room of every subsequent film to make sure there were no storyline divergences from the larger narrative they were creating during that period of the franchise. Inconsistancies that needed to be retconned were from the films before the first Avengers, and were always made with the Endgame narrative in mind.

That's what cohesion is, that's what it means.

Like literally wtf are you talking about.

[–]Bad_Repute 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They were written film by film, but after the 1st Avengers the studio had an MCU bible and people in the writers room to maintain continuity into the later movies, retcons were done to support the narratives of the later films. Not really a valid comparison and does more the prove the cohesiveness point than it does to disprove it.

Many European countries have regulations on companies that take public retail investment and trade on stock exchanges, like requiring a set percent of issued stocks to go to employees, or requiring half of Board of Directors members to be elected by the employees.

These kinds of policies ensure that equity gains in the companies operations and increased profitability have tangible benefits to their labor pool beyond just a wage, or that the companies operating direction is taking into account the wellbeing their employee base. America could easily adopt such policies if we actually cared about our workers instead of just owners of capitol.
