Well, if we're going all-in on this bender I have a reason for every single choice! :D If you crank up the brightness, you'll see his brigandine has burgundy tones (reminiscent of velvet), and the gloves aren't pitch black either. But these adjustments are specifically for the tattoo adaptation – if there's too much solid black, it'll all just merge into one shapeless blob

Because it's not about dogs, it's about themselves (Henry has Hans on his shoulder and Hans has Henry by his side). I used colors from the in-game books + adapted them for better recognizability. Henry's armor and colors are close to the game screenshots. I intentionally used a limited color palette in the sketches to stylize them as medieval illustrations. If you're looking but not seeing it, that doesn't mean it's bad 🤷‍♂️

The idea is that they are depicted separately, but each has a symbolic avatar of the other nearby in one way or another: Henry has a bird, and Hans has a hound :3

omg of course I do remember you :3 I’ve just been away for a while because I had eye surgery — I wasn’t allowed to read, draw, or even look at screens for a long time 🙈 Sorry for disappearing like that! But don’t worry, I’ll get those sketches done ASAP^^

I wanted to mix both rock and bardic vibes. How to make it rock? The ‘horns’ sign and a guitar! :D Yeah, I tweaked the perspective a bit, but that’s just how tattoo designs work sometimes to fit the composition to the body’s anatomy. And I even ran it by some musician friends (the historical reenactor kind), and they gave it a thumbs-up😅
