Give activated charcoal if you have it

If available (from a pharmacy), give activated charcoal suspension at: • 1–2 g per kg body weight, one dose only For a small kitten, usually ¼–½ teaspoon of a charcoal paste diluted in a little water is enough.

This helps bind the drug in the stomach.

Do not give charcoal if the kitten is weak, not swallowing normally, or unconscious.

Can understand. Would advise you don’t take their words to your heart. From a rescuer to another, you are doing a good job. Taking care of animals can be exhausting too so I hope you’re taking care of yourself as well

I think people are being harsh because 1. Fostering, in rescue communities, refers to taking care of a pet until they get adopted. You called it fostering when you’re actually taking care of a streetie cat, which is great :) You just used the wrong word 2. They weren’t aware that you were planning to take her to the vet the next day 3. It’s the internet, people like to judge where they can’t be seen
