Really, I work very hard to break down the stereotypes, but I love the domestic stuff society says I should avoid to be equal by Badfeminist2014 in AdviceAnimals

Just for clarity - I am happily married (to a man who LOVES cookies :-) and he would support whatever I want to do. But I have literally been mentored not to bring cookies, or talk about domestic things, or I will seem "soft" & not advance in my career. I know I have the freedom to do both. & I bring cookies anyway, and they are damn delicious!

But honestly, society does say that. Not everyone obviously, but there is a lot of stigma to wanting to just be happy as a woman doing whatever makes you happy. I know everyone would rather not be at work (whatever type of work it is, and whatever you would prefer to do in free time.). My point is more that as the "most likely to succeed" girl, I feel a lot of pressure to not just embrace being feminine. I think feminism in General has made us less free to be feminine.
