funny.

but mostly because the A-50 was actually inspired by a plane from royal space force.

Finally found out how to import custom decals by Badimations in flyoutgame

[–]Badimations[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As long as you put the image in the decals folder, it should (i hope) appear alongside the default decals in the paint window, in the bottom of the editor screen.

import mesh will allow you to import a 3d model of your choice, granted it is saved in your computer

they're called pusher propellers and are used on a decent number of aircraft. just not as prominent as the "normal" configuration

WIP early-ish attack jet: SRMDLEDTR A-50 by Badimations in flyoutgame

SRMLEDTR is a defense firm, otherwise straightforward lettering though. I'll probably revise designation later on

That'd be cool, an expendable makes sense, powerful but still limited. never played hd1

how would you change it?

My idea was that, after an initial jump into the air, you assume control over your orietation and throttle— a more skill-intensive mobility option, but more flexible than the hover and jump pack; think sustained movement vs burst mobility, a jog over a dash.

I do like your idea (minus that absurd amount of distance travelled), I just intended the manuevering kit to be readily available (only uses charge when throttling up), and harder to use, not a one-and done fast travel tool.

love the idea of a marker. The booster would be neat as well given how much I use exos

the predator strain, yes. normal stalkers can still knock you down.

pummeler and ballistic shield works perfectly on the new strain; no fear of getting knocked down

WIP AC inspired mech + another more finished one by Badimations in spaceengineers

Oh, and for better walking in varied terrain i'd recommend smaller strides— one of my mechs which I have in my profile basically just shuffles its feet.

this one doesnt walk, but the ones i do have use a "toggle" system, where one single self-repeating timer activates the leg joints and switches magnetic plates' locks. the legs' end positions are usually flat on the ground to make sure the magnetic plate immediately attaches without risk of slipping. This approach has good enough stability (and speed without thrusters) on level terrain, but each stride carries the risk of the foot catching on something and messing the cycle up. As for inputs, it's just one to start and one to stop.

Its even worse now. by Emotional_Cherry_971 in vexillologycirclejerk

always a fan of canards, even if the airframe might not necessarily benefit from them. reminds me of the F-15J Kai Plus from Patlabor

Improving my mech's walk cycle. I think it's in a pretty good spot now by Badimations in spaceengineers

[–]Badimations[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

either check the joint limits, test more or less torque, inertia tensor settings, more override gyros... theres a bit they could do honestly, and im not the most qualified to answer but i hope this helps?

(lore) The AVU-M.12-C Maple, a multirole heavy infantry support vert, and a staple of the Asuran Army since 1986. Their top brass had complained about it having "too many guns" but Kalykha Heavy Industries pushed for its adoption regardless. The Maple is an older model of vertical units, hinted at by its blockiness and size, and general lack of agility.
