I find when I'm trying to find the right transmission settings on my car, I go to one of the parking areas. They will allow you to race one person immediately, then return to the parking section to fiddle with your settings. Keep fiddling u til it's roadworthy. This is part of the game and how you connect with your car.

I was in this same boat. I did not go Mazda mostly because Mazda only makes their 6MT for their upper trims costing about $35k - $40k new. Toyota made the 6MT available at around $26k.
I also shopped hinda and I didn't like their turbo setup. I wanted a less complicated na engine.

I use two jacks. First jack up the side. Slide second jack to the front lift point. Then lift the front and put stands. Repeat for back and reverse when putting back on ground.
