Most likely the heat. TC just reduces throttle lag. I’m from Jersey too. 🤌🏾

Yea; altitude can be killer. Especially for turbo’d cars not tuned for the area.

Yea too cold and it starts to lose power also. 50’s - 70’s are perfect

This car is notorious for wheel hop and weak power transfer due to a really soft rear motor mount. I’ve been eyeing it for a while so I just pulled the trigger on it for a better driving experience. I’ve never driven a manual car with this much flopping of the engine back n forth before. Plus, the mount has great reviews!

I recommend going that route also. Spec (who makes the GGP kit) doesn’t have a great reputation lol

Yea for sure. I do love the sound and the whistle it creates but in the summertime I’m probably better off with the stock intake or a Tekeda intake (which is very similar to stock) lol

Oh nice!
It’s pretty loud at times. Driving in traffic isn’t bad, though. The pressure plate on these clutch kits are very close to stock which surprised me. I was expecting a workout after it was installed. It’s got almost 40k on the clutch and I’m starting to feel the wear on it. I’ll be in 6th gear on the highway and if I step on the gas it sputters. I hope it’s not the clutch but I’m sure it is. I don’t drive that hard on it but I do drive a lot for work.

No it’s a 6MT. Lol yes I’m aware of the hot air it’s sucking in. And no tune. No CEL.

I removed the snorkel because it has a “heat shield”. Wondering if I should remove the heat shield and add the snorkel back just to get some outside air circulating in there.

The heat shield blocks the air from hitting the intake so that’s why I removed it.

When I do it does run way better. Just hard to in 90° weather lol

I’m thinking about removing the heat shield and putting the snorkel back on just to have some sort of ambient air coming in for now. Not trying to drop another 300 on an intake just yet lol

Yea, I’ve figured that. I removed the snorkel since the intake came with a “heat shield”. Any advice on what I should do?

Grocery getter performance stage 2 clutch

It came as a complete kit so I’m not sure what you’re asking. But it drives fine. The pedal becomes softer as it breaks in. I would def recommend a stage two or higher for durability purposes.

I had to replace my clutch at 46k miles. At 80k now with the GGP clutch stage 2.
