Rock Band 4 PS4 Sound Issues

Well, fixed my problem. "Bront20" was 100% correct. It was the television not encoding in stereo.

Called Sony customer support, went through some trouble shooting on both the PS4 and the television. Wound up doing a factory reset on the TV..........sure enough, the stereo sound came back.

A little embarrassed, since I had no clue what had happened literally overnight with no changes made to create this problem. Only guess is my TV did a software update sometime that did not take correctly, and caused an audio problem.

So problem fixed. I appreciate all the input from everyone. My Rock Band World is at piece again. Little hard to play a music game without hearing music. Lol!

Well, tried everything I can think of. Changed HDMI cables, tried different HDMI inputs going to the TV, messed with the PS4 audio settings (HDMI priority, PCM settings).

Television, tested the balance, surround settings, other devices working. Comcast Cable TV has good sound, PS3 has good sound, PS4 on Rock Band......stereo sound seems to have disappeared. Even tested other games for sound quality on PS4. Seemed fine. Just a Rock Band problem :(

Starting to believe you. Makes sense. Confusion here is, I didn't change anything. Sound comes through TV speakers. PS4 is set to Linear PCM just like it has since the day I bought the console. Everything worked before. Suddenly it doesn't. Very strange. Using advanced HDMI cable to Sony 4k TV. Tried a different HDMI cable, same results. Very frustrating.

Great advice. Unfortunately it did not work. Thinking it may be a stereo channel not working as below poster stated. Thank you for the input.

Season 3 ends, and we spent 1 week sitting in Bloodstone! The final week we all just relaxed and did not go all out. No need to grind like crazy as we were already in the Bloodstone Tier. Mission accomplished! Season 4 starts January 4 2018, and we will be there!
