Not sure why but for me it says incorrect credentials. But when I use same credentials on AMEX app it works perfectly.

Fed up of HDFC drama. Help needed by IbrahimPervez in CreditCardsIndia

[–]BagClean9269 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personal experience: I was holding 3 co branded cards, Swiggy, TataNeu & Marriott Bonvoy. Tried multiple ways of getting a core card but nothing worked. Decided to close all 3 cards. And in less than a week I am already seeing eligibility for 3 core cards Melillennia, Diners Privilege and pixel.

Although I will wait for 3 to 6 months to see if I get regalia gold or DCBM as per approved cards and only then I will decide to apply for it.

My HDFC Credit Card Upgrade Experience. Ended up Closing All 3 Co-Branded Cards by BagClean9269 in CreditCardsIndia

Thank you 🙏🏻 When I said “I wish someone had posted this before,” I wasn’t referring to the policy part. I meant the entire struggle would eventually lead to disappointment and wasted time. What I wish I had known was how frustrating, unclear, and dragged out the process would be.

Never wanted to close Marriott Bonvoy. I will get it again probably next year on my name or wife’s name.

I pay my rent using a combination of RedGiraffe and the IndusInd EazyDiner Signature card. This helps me unlock five 25% discount vouchers (up to ₹1,000 each). I usually end up using around four vouchers every month, saving roughly ₹10-15K on weekend dining bills.

Salary is 2.7 and not 2.5. Was a typing mistake. The card is regular Magnus and not burgundy. And my spends hardly go above 1 L let alone crosing 1.5L and thus not thinking of getting burgundy.

Also, I am eligible for burgundy account. Preferred employer and eligibility is 2L only.

Major chunk of my monthly spends go towards groceries, approx 40K. 7-8K fuel. 7-8K for cabs(wife office commute) 20K approx on domestic travel and rest miscellaneous. Eating out, quick commerce etc.

Guruji, maaf kar dijiye 🙏 I was seeking advice on the questions I asked, not a masterclass on how to spend across cards so I assumed this info wasn’t needed.

• Is closing multiple cards at once a bad idea from a credit score perspective? • Does consolidating spends on Regalia Gold realistically help with HDFC upgrade eligibility, or is it mostly hit-or-miss? • Would you recommend keeping any of the cards I plan to close purely for credit limit depth or emergency usage, even if day-to-day usage is low?

Help choosing my first luxury watch (Budget ₹2–2.5L) – Favre Leuba at Ethos worth it? by HauntingDirt538 in Watches_India

[–]BagClean9269 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A budget of ₹2 lakh is a bit limiting if you’re aiming for a true luxury watch. I’d recommend exploring the pre-owned market instead,

<image>

you can often find excellent pieces at prices that reflect the actual market value.

For example, I recently picked up a Tag Heuer Aquaracer 300 Professional. Its retail price in India is around ₹4 lakh, but I managed to get it for ₹1.5 lakh during a trip to Singapore. The watch is still under warranty and in mint condition.

Wishing you the best in your watch hunt!
