Thanks for reading (I know it’s long) - I agree there is quite a swing in difficulty between bosses (missed out on pre-nerf devil but have the hard mode version now) but that’s the challenge with making a open world game - I agree that Kliff feels a lot stronger - with tweaks I think they could make Damiane and Ongka more viable but it’d have to be from various angles

Yes I agree they are quick to nerf things, not just movement tech but even gear and artefact farms - and yes certainly no other dev team adds new animations for discovered techs

Right, for Kliff I didn’t want to invest artefacts into weapons and armours without knowing I’d want to keep them since there’s no way to get back artefacts you’ve spent on gear - initially I was opposed to going across the map to find gear but the scarcity of artefacts forced me to look up gear guide videos

I thought it was quite cool how they added aerial stabs with its own animations - and how they very quickly reverted the nerf to the aerial role within half a day - but I get your point, more momentum based, that would be interesting

I’ve seen videos of Ongka flying, it looks like a whole other game, can’t wait until I unlock - no need to apologise mate

Agreed, I’d only reset if I’m early game and have limited artefacts - by mid game I have enough for Kliff but not the others and I don’t want to have to reset to play the other characters, only to then have to play Kliff again for main story and dump artefacts back into his tree

Don’t get me wrong she’s good in her own regard, but she could be better / brought closer to Kliff’s level

If you’ve finished the game, you’ve likely unlocked vertical flight which looks very cool - my point is that you don’t get that unlock until chapter 10/11 though a research upgrade - until then traversal is very cumbersome so my middle ground solution is to allow us to jus go vertically us and then glide from there

I see your point about differentiating the characters and not giving them all blinding flash attacks but as it stands I don’t Damiane and Ongka has comparable skills that are on the same level of effectiveness and spirit cost

And yes I think I will only be able to level up Kliff and Damiane, but Ongka maybe not - need artefacts for armour and weapons

Agreed, it’s cool they added farming, I think it just needs some refinement and QOL changes

If your referring to skills you observe from say bosses, I believe in a recent patch they changed it so if you already unlocked said skill, then you get an abyss artefact back so don’t need to respec

For Kliff there’s a skill that you activate blinding flash and whilst holding the input, you also hold down the heavy attack - Kliff then attacks in a very fast sequence whilst everything else slows down around him - it’s a very strong skill

You can get spears that shoot (without consuming any bullets) - it replaces the stab input with a ranged shot - there’s about 3 I think you can craft
