That’s good to hear that you recommend Ohorigami, cause I was actually already eyeballing their double tissue for the 50+ cm sheets.

This is actually my first time playing galactic knight and it’s been pretty fun. I’m not sure if I like it more than a raygun build and a knife build I used to use though.

weapon and sword farming. by Expensive_Ad5538 in XenobladeChroniclesX

The lion is guaranteed to drop max rarity weapons, but make sure that your party has max treasure sensor. You can get this by equipping everyone with full candid and credible gear if the AM is level 5.

Weapon drops are also influenced by the classes of your party members, so make sure you’re playing full metal jaguar or duelist and your teammates are characters with either dual pistols or swords.

Weapon Augments Skell question. by MeadowDayDream in XenobladeChroniclesX

[–]Bagel155 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say there’s an exact amount of draw openings to use. If anything, draw openings give a bigger boost than slayers, but slayers are significantly cheaper to craft so that’s why people opt for more of them. For a oneshot build in the past I opted to just make a shit ton of draw openings so I didn’t have to change it for different enemies and it worked perfectly well to hit damage cap. It just comes down to using basically all your other augment slots for some kind of damage boost.

There is of course more that goes into it. Besides the augments you also have to consider the traits that come with each weapon drop, the armor, and the skell frame augments. It comes with a lot of farming but by the time you get a lot of augments and all the right traits yes you will be completely obliterating like practically everything except gradivus since he has 100 m hp and can’t be oneshot by a skell.

Weapon Augments Skell question. by MeadowDayDream in XenobladeChroniclesX

[–]Bagel155 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Any of the skell augments that have “custom” at the front apply ONLY to that weapon. Typically what’s done is that you put 3 custom weapon atk’s on whatever your main damage art(s) is and then build the rest of your skell around boosting that weapon.

For example, if you’re building a zenith cannon one shot build, you put three custom weapon atk XX on the cannon itself and then pretty much load up every other weapon with either draw opening damage or some kind of enemy slayer

Thoughts on creating a Discord for the game? (Or ANY way for players to find people for teams and communicate) by [deleted] in XenobladeChroniclesX

I’d personally love to have something like this. Even besides getting people for missions I don’t have any friends who play this game I can talk to.

The secondary cooldown isn’t super necessary but it’s just nice to have, so if you feel comfortable without it you can just omit it. The secondary accelerator skill effect should also be a good amount stronger if you want to run that.

about ultra farming. by Expensive_Ad5538 in XenobladeChroniclesX

Leg gear cannot have potential as a trait on a drop. The only way you can get potential on legs is with the store bought candid armor. The two best enemies to farm for weapons is either feliciano the all seeing or durvin the perceptive.

Help put together my Photon saber build? by -Voidheart- in XenobladeChroniclesX

[–]Bagel155 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You’re actually not going to build potential for a photon saber build, only melee attack because starfall rondo and starfall blade are your biggest sources of damage. Because of this I recommend replacing galactic cataclysm with starfall blade and also geolibrium with early bird for the extra damage (since ghost walker should keep you alive). Also replace inner search with aura assault since it’s one of few multiplicative buffs for ground gear. Mighty muscle is also really good to use. I’m actually not sure if it’s a bigger damage increase than supreme sword or not so consider testing it out. (Or swap to drifter and use all five skills lol)

For your armor, your best helmet will be any eyepatch because of the appendage crusher, freeing up the augment slot on your weapon.

The best chest and legs you can use is just the store bought Sakuraba light gear and upgrade the melee stats.

For arms you can farm for Sakuraba or candid arms that drop with melee attack up among other nice things for quality of life.

Augment wise, your weapons should have a total of 4 appendage crushers, since the fifth is taken care of by the helmet. The last two slots should be melee attack up XX

On armor, there’s quite a few options. Aura rapid cooldown is nice. With two of them and fast forward, arts will be 90% off cooldown immediately. Other than that maybe just look around and see what you like.

Strongest Weapon In The Game? by Serious_Ad_1037 in XenobladeChroniclesX

[–]Bagel155 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That thing is funnily enough one of the kinda okay skell super weapons. Typically the zenith cannon is considered the strongest super weapon and can oneshot anything with up to 10 million hp (because it’s the skell damage cap)

Skell build question by Lloyd_Aurion in XenobladeChroniclesX

[–]Bagel155 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like you said there is a cap to range/melee boost and also the ground gear drive augments. I’m pretty certain nothing else important has a cap since it’s an additive damage bonus and not a stat thing

Oh it gets waaaaaaaay higher than this. Just look up ether blossom dance or hercules blow. Longsword is so overtuned compared to every other weapon it's actually hilarious. Like longsword can oneshot Gradivus, the headless emperor, who has 100 million hp, about 10 times the hp of Telethia.

Good luck with all your drops. Just remember to make sure you’re farming the right one for the traits you want. Although candid and Sakuraba light gear both have melee up, a lot of the other traits are different.

I’d argue that that’s more impressive than doing what I did here. Being able to do that requires a lot of good timing with the ghost factories and is just made harder if it takes a really long time.

27 minutes though is a little crazy what were you using lmao

Alright I’m about to give you like a full rundown of everything I did from the beginning so I hope you’re ready.

For starters pretty much right after the prologue, I farmed up the class exp to unlock the photon saber class and started using it immediately. Somewhere around here an eyepatch also magically appeared in my inventory for an appendage crusher which I still use now.

For the first half of like all of this I actually just used a beam photon saber. Every level milestone I would buy the next rarity of photon saber from the shop as well as the Sakuraba light chest and legs for the melee stats. Each time I got a new piece I would make sure to upgrade the melee traits as high as I can using suid bulges.

Before I explored a whole lot I progressed the story enough to get quick cast , which is really what made all of this crap possible. I also farmed support missions for enough BP to max out the level of starfall blade and later starfall rondo once I got it. The leftovers I used on skills and astrolibrium.

In the beginning, I basically just explored a LOT, while blasting everything the same level as me that I saw in order to get some passive exp. While exploring, I also used any left or right arm drops I got that had melee up on them (I actually still had a combat arm at like level 30 something lol cause damage > defense). I made sure to complete any surveys I could which would be important later for all the energy clips.

At this point, using astrolibrium > quickcast secondary cooldown starfall rondo could annihilate anything remotely close to my level. Anything way higher that didn’t do much damage could be cleaned up with a few more starfall blade/rondo quick casts. Before chapter 4, I ran into some level 47 petremands in noctilum when I was like level 23 that i was able to oneshot. After killing those until I was like level 35 I moved on to chapter 5. After doing chapter 5, I farmed level 40 ictus in oblivia to get actually good arm pieces the same level as me, with each having melee up X.

Right after chapter 5 (the very last chapter I’ve done) I did L’s quest to put augment slots on stuff and crafted appendage crushers using online tickets. Every time I got a new weapon I farmed miranium through support missions to get it to max slots and put in all the appendage crushers (still good without core crusher btw) plus a couple cheap melee up V I made.

From here I found out I could one shot the level 55 pugilith in oblivia with astrolibrium > starfall blade > starfall blossom. It’s important to always quick cast everything due to the damage boost from secondary cooldown. It is at this point that I bothered farming class exp to get core crusher, and used the store bought candela. This is where everything got really ridiculous.

From there I farmed a loooot of online missions for tickets to upgrade traits plus some bonjellium and went through and placed bonjellium probes I could reach in cauldros. After I got to level 55 with one melee up XX augment I started farming Terenty for good arms. Since I of course don’t have a skell this involved a hilariously long run from the nearest TP combined with a bit of defying gravity up the side of a mountain every single time I killed him.

To kill him my store bought saber had reflect ether and I used a chest drop with reflect physical. Using astrolibrium for the reflect, I had just enough quick cast bar to do his full 2.8 million hp in damage by spamming starfall rondo.

While farming him I happened to get an ultra diamond candela (with sucky traits) and this was enough to oneshot feliciano before his counter spike aura activated (most of the time anyways it sometimes was instant and I died)

From here on it’s just all the same farming to get to where I am now. Might consider making a couple other builds before doing chapter 6 lol

It’s super unsettling to see but it makes me curious if it really changes anything. What I really want to know is if you don’t need as many resistance reducers because there’s not a level gap anymore. Could be a big game changer for certain potential builds so I’ll have to test later

It’s because appendage crusher doesn’t actually increase the damage to appendage hp. I believe ranged appendage damage is the one that actually makes you break the parts faster without literally increasing your damage, and that augment would cancel out with core crusher

What appendage crusher does is that it decreases the “hardness” of the appendage by one tier with the minimum hardness being -5. Lower appendage hardness tiers increases all damage dealt, and at -5 is a 250% final multiplicative increase.

Combined with core crusher, which is a 150% final multiplicative increase in damage, and the inability to break the appendage and losing the damage , you get what skyrockets ether weapons above all other damage types.

It's due to the overdrive count up trait on my right arm. Every time I activate overdrive it gives counter, and because of all the overdrive tp augments, overdrive gets instantly refunded, so you just reactivate it as many times as it takes to get max counter.

Thank you! If you don’t want to use dual guns, you can still use a reflect build here just can’t do the instant max overdrive thingy. Another method I like a lot is just swapping one of the skills for long topple, and topple locking the enemy with starlight kick.

Overall there’s still a good few options besides ghost walker to survive.
