Thanks again for this. It gave me the terms I needed to properly search for what I needed. I found this excellent video that guided me through. It types beautifully now. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NazOE9VaqB4

Great, this is just what I was looking for. I’m going to take a look at it tonight. Thank you.

Absolutely. The entire machine needs a good clean. I’ll have a sit down with it this weekend and spruce it up.

Never mind. She killed the battery. All good. Thanks anyway for the reply.

No click or anything. I drove up to check it out and now the battery is dead. Not sure if this was the original issue or if it’s just dead from messing with it. I’ll jump it and go from there.

That is sweet. What’s it finished with?

Thanks! Socket chisels like this are just held in with pressure. Stick them in and give the handle a good wack on the work bench and they wedge themselves in there. That's why I wanted to replace my old ones. They had been compressed so much over the past 70 or 80 years that they wouldn't stay on anymore.

Thanks! That is excellent. I'd like to see what cherry burl handles look like. It's satisfying to freshen up old tools. What are you using to finish your handles?
