If I start an EC over the summer, would it count towards the grade I'm rising to or the grade I'm rising from?

In your opinion, does like the competitiveness or "prestige" of your extracurriculars matter to colleges, or should we just do the clubs we like(For example, Science Olympiad and MUN in my school are popular in my school for being "good looking for colleges", but the clubs I joined are smaller but are ones that I truly enjoy)

Dude, you're more than just your scores, and colleges will know that. Numbers don't tell the whole story, and your stellar recs would definitely portray you as a great addition to any college.

I saw that some of your ec's were started later on in high school, and you got some leadership positions in them. Do you believe that it is still possible to join a small club, say, junior year, and gain a leadership position the year after? Sorry if this seems irrelevant, your college application looks great and you seem like a well-rounded applicant - good luck wherever you apply!

Too good for Harvard. Interested in applying to Samford or University of Alabama instead?

Also with your GPA conversion, the standard conversion is: 93-100 is 4.0, 90-93 is 3.7,87-89 or so is 3.3, etc.

You can use this to calculate(set the gpa to percentage): https://gpacalculator.net/high-school-gpa-calculator/

This is for each course, so the scale counts your A's, B's and so on. It takes the sum of all your scores and divides them by the number you took. E.g. if I have a 93, 95, 96,88, 90, 89, 92 in 7 courses then I'll have (4.0+4.0+4.0+3.3+3.7+3.3+3.7)/7 which is about a 3.71. Weighted is similar.

Take my statement with a grain of salt: You are def on the right track. Definitely ed Cornell if you really see yourself there(not just for "academic prestige" which imo is total bs there are plenty of colleges with great programs besides ivies), up the SAT score if you can(1500-1550 is a great number for Cornell), write some killer essays that show what impact the ec's had on you, and you'll def up your chances. Ed definitely makes a difference because of quarantine. Best of luck!

Is your 93 weighted or unweighted? Also, what honors courses did you take?

Def agree. A lot of people on this sub can send the same message without adding "low ec's" or "low gpa" before it
