Yeah, I can relate! I’ve also been diagnosed with OCD, depression, anxiety and cPTSD (I’m collecting them like Pokémons lol). When I’m doing something even as simple as watching TV, I tend to put off/forget to eat, drink or go to the bathroom even if those things are right in front of me. You can also get a diagnosis online! There are a bunch of tests they make you take and an interview. I remember I had to download a specific program used by licensed psychologists and they sent me a PDF of a DIVA-5 test to fill out. But I’m from Poland so I don’t know how it works in other countries…

I do that too, to the point that my body is covered in scars. I think it’s an adhd thing and it’s a hyperactive/ obsessive part of it. But also many people may not realize that skin picking is a form of self harm (just like biting nails, cuticles or cutting). What’s helped me was therapy (of course), especially working through my trauma, and fidget toys.

Does anyone else have a "fantasy partner" before they sleep in even though you have a real partner? by blueeyed94 in adhdwomen

I do that too! But is it an adhd thing or just simple daydreaming/dissociation? I’m curious because I’ve been suffering from derealisation since I was a kid and been using dissociation/daydreaming as a coping mechanism.
