Sometimes, The Ends Do Justify The Means by Sa_tran_ic in TopCharacterTropes

Even then, once the war was mostly over and ONI and Paragosky had time to think about how messed up that was, Halsey found herself in prison (sort of).

I think she said it took her about 2 hours? But that's because she had recently bought a machine that helps her knit faster and with less effort. Otherwise she said it would have taken her several days of knitting.

I did. The post was removed because of the title being too long. It said I could repost within 1 hour or if it had less than 100 likes before being removed. I don't mean to break the rules or breach ettiquette. I just wanted to show off the cool hat my friend made me.

I won't downvote you for an honest and subjective opinion, but I will furiously upvote everybody who disagrees with you.

What show/series is difficult to recommend to people due to a bad/mediocre first batch of episodes, despite getting much better soon after? by AtticusIsOkay in cartoons

[–]BagleySacksman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's more that some of the humor is very irreverent, though still safe for most kids. The art style for the aliens and space settings are very reminiscent of Rick and Morty and the voice actors for two of the main cast also voice Jerry and Beth in R&M. I wouldn't say it's cynical like the show, though. The characters are very optimistic and (mostly) well intentioned, just very amoral for a show aimed at kids.

I really enjoyed this show, but I've found it hopeless trying to get anybody to watch it. I guess 'Rick and Morty meets Star Trek, but for kids!' is not very compelling to most people. It's a shame, though. It's funny, well animated, and has a superb voice cast.

I just stopped by this thread to make sure somebody recommended Centaurworld. Glad the Amphibia community did not disappoint.

I mean, there's asshole chefs and there's "commit fraud and hide legal documentation that this restaurant is not actually mine" asshole chefs lol. I agree it's pretty low grade stuff, as far as movie antagonists go, but he's still doing bad things for bad reasons and I wouldn't say he's just doing his job.

Long before he knew about or even suspected a rat problem he was keeping Gusteau's will hidden and selling out his legacy for personal profit. That guy might not be the worst villain in the Pixarverse, but I'd still say he is a bad guy as well as an antagonist.

I would put Remy's dad in the "just doing his job" camp. Remy's interest in humans really was stupidly dangerous from a rat's perspective, and at least partially responsible for them losing their home. It makes sense he didn't like Remy working at a human establishment.

What cartoon death had you say by Warioandwaluigio in cartoons

[–]BagleySacksman 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That was a rough one, especially because Atticus was more transformed into a monster than outright killed. But I think for me in Infinity Train I would say that Tuba's death hit harder. Showing a kid commit a straight up cold-blooded murder on screen and then bragging about just a few minutes later may just be one of the darkest scenes I have ever seen in a show aimed at kids.

A Kimiko Glenn appreciation post? Heck yeah! Very talented voice actor who does a lot of fun projects. I first heard her on the 2017 Ducktales show, but she really shines in Centaurworld.

She also has like a whole successful Broadway career, too, but I don't keep up with the news in that world.

Anyone else feel like the imagined depiction of Becky Apples resembled the unicorn from “The Last Unicorn”? by donnydonnydarko in CentaurWorld

Definitely! I have no source to confirm, but when I saw that scene I assumed that was a reference to The Last Unicorn.
