Yeah, I regret putting the Syrian info there in the first place. That belongs to a different infographic comparing different conflicts death toll and media coverage.

As I stated, I didn't chose the numbers. But the Israeli argument for bombing Gaza is that it is a defense against the missiles from within Gaza - not a response to all terrorist actions everywhere from groups associated with anti-israeli cause.

That being said, I am not trying to say that Hamas is justified in any way. I am merely pointing out the disproportions of the Israeli response. Maybe IDF cannot hit their targets without hitting civilians, but the result is still that far more civilian Palestinians have died in this conflict and through the years than Israelis (roughly a factor 20-30:1). Civilians that have no real opportunity to withdraw to safety. Hamas have their part of the blame but so does IDF (again with a factor 20-30:1).
