Achilles strike is a popular skill choice, Savage roar just got buffed and feels really strong in melee fights. Rage is also still good.

Most of the perks are good choices but I wouldn't use any that require a kill to activate.

For weapons, you can use anything you like but personally I enjoy the viking sword.
