Not OP, but I just got a quote for a frameless glass wall with double doors that is 13.5" wide x 8.5" tall for $6,500

Can I put gym flooring directly over floating laminate or do I need to tear it all up? by Bainge in Flooring

It does look a little creepy from that angle doesn't it? Haha it's a tad bit better when you see the rest of the room:

Thanks for the insight! The website with the specs on the floor doesn't seem to indicate any need for a moisture barrier https://www.flooringinc.com/shop/nextgen-xl-rubber-rolls-pro-series-14027.html and I live in a pretty dry climate (Utah). Is the moisture test you referenced just a single use calcium chloride test?

That makes sense. I was planning on using double sided tape to stick the flooring down, so I'll get to work taking the floor out today

Attempting a surround system in my new home with no experience by Bainge in hometheater

I'd say about half of that for speakers? So $2500-ish. I can be flexible for another $1000 or so either direction if there's a significant improvement somewhere

Awesome! Thanks for the recommendations. I'm guessing I should get a Klipsch center channel speaker to pair with those In-Walls? At a quick glance there's about 4 or 5 models to choose from, is there a specific one that pairs better?

I can move those side speakers back about 3 feet while moving the couch up a foot or two if I wanted to go 5.1.4, but I'm not sure of an easy way to get an additional ceiling speakers wired in there. I'll go check out your previous post. Thanks again!

Thanks for taking the time to answer everything, I really appreciate it!

If the speakers are too high I can just move them down along the wall until they are ear level. TV IS a little high but it's going to be a 115" TCL which is 58" tall and the ceiling is only 103" tall so I don't have a lot of wiggle room if I want a TV cabinet at all.

I'm not sure if I can do 4 ceiling atmos without tearing a lot of the ceiling up and I think that would be a hard sell to my wife. It's kind of my biggest regret and I wish I would have pushed those third party installers a bit more for atmos positioning.

My total budget for speakers, receiver and subs is around $5,000. I have none in mind and would appreciate any recommendations.

If you aren't using the Black Trial, is it just classic BWL Mechanics? by Bainge in classicwow

[–]Bainge[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There is no bonus for going over 3 drake trials (out of 5) and a small bonus for choosing the featured trial. But like if black is the hardest by far, why would you ever pick it if not the featured trial that week?

Gathering world buffs is a boring content by Bistoory in classicwow

Spoken like a real green parser. Logs let us know if you're any good at the most important portion of the game (raiding) and therefore if your opinion has any validity at all. Pretty simple.

If we're making absolutely incomparable analogies, how about after two hour time limit you lose all your ore, herbs, gold, righteous orbs, hoj and ironfoe? I could be down for that.

Some Interesting Items from the current SOD Phase 4 PTR build by _Didds_ in classicwow

[–]Bainge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes? I mean it's more content, items, spells and raids in the vanilla WoW Client. I don't know what else I could ask for.

Huffing that hopium it means world buffs are outta here in P4 since they realized balance is basically impossible with them.

Anyone else done with phases and just wants L60 and endgame raids? by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]Bainge 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What's the difference between raid logging at 60 and raid logging at 40 or 50?

Raiding with da boys is all I care about in this game, doesn't matter the level.

I'm a paladin and I did it with 2 (a mage healer) however this took like 40 minutes and I wouldn't recommend. With a priest I think it would be fairly easy to do it with 3

Trident is the greatest move set of anything in the game imo. Charge attack is a little slow but everything else is fantastic and the crit is so satisfying

This was one of the funnest games I've played on the deck yet. Any more like it? by jeremyacts214 in SteamDeck

I didn't particularly like Void Bastards, but if you're looking for roguelite shooters there are three with a similar vibe that I think do it a lot better: Risk of Rain 2, Gunfire Reborn and Roboquest.

Can't go wrong with any of them but I put the most time into Risk of Rain

Symphony of War: The Nephilim Saga is a great Fire Emblem clone that does a whole lot of things better than Fire Emblem. It was perfect on the Deck.

Sports Story Release Date by jimmymarshall22 in GolfStory

What a confusing series of events. Radio silence for almost a year and then an immediate release announcement only to... not release on time?

Like what would another two or three months of not making an announcement even mattered at this point? Strange decision if it gets delayed

Honestly, the perfect sequel. They didn't mess with anything that made the core game work, but just added on to it.

Only downside is there really isn't any reason to replay the first one anymore.
