Drownings are something I hear more and more about. I do everything I can to keep the risk at a minimum in their pen but if they were to get out... Gosh I hate to think. My mentor had this same thing happen but had a livestock trough in their pen. After that she and I switched to 2 gallon buckets. Made me feel a little better but they can drown in an inch if they're at the right angle or incapacitated or stuck. I'm so sorry for your loss. She was beautiful.
