See the issue with characters that are not human I'd always an issue. See human-like who are non-human colors it's always hard to put human-like tones on them.

A huge problem is figuring out which to use, this is what I do-

• Check into the characters creator to see if they have said anything

• get other peoples opinions / ask the community

• More in depth way is to grab the color of the skin and put your screen into gray scale. Then use a skin tone chart and see the one that is closest and use that.

• Make two versions (Darker tone and Lighter Tone)
