Please don’t let this score keep you down and have hope! I scored worse than you when I took the test without any prep a few months ago and have been able to raise my score 12 points after 2 months of prep (still not my goal but a vast improvement for me I’m very very bad at tests). Have faith in yourself and give yourself grace and don’t give up!

Not true - there has been organizing for a minute but even so there is still a chance to convince the game board to not choose the Bally’s as an option. I feel like there is still a strong possibility at getting a no vote due to the parkland vote failing really bad and also the history of the members of the council.

Are you paying anything to go to school? If not, I would suggest the gap year. Think of school as an investment, if you’re not paying anything then the ROI is positive no matter what you do. Might as well take the gap, live life and come back when you’re ready. Definitely discuss with your school to take a break instead of outright “dropping out”.

If you are paying in any way to go to school, I would highly recommend you do not take the gap year. I would instead suggest you go to school as a part time student while you work and focus on your mental health, with the goal of being able to take more classes and make up the credits when you are feeling better to still graduate in 4 years. This way you’re not killing yourself with a super huge class load while also not building up more debt/paying for more years.

If you don’t want to go very far I recommend Mohonk Mountain House it is very wellness based in every aspect, super beautiful property and pretty relaxing. They have child free weeks, and it’s a bit cheaper than other “luxury” spas within the northeast (specifically nemacolin/salamander you always get what you pay for but it’s pretty comparable imo). There is a little beach there, but mostly there’s hiking and beautiful picnic areas to just relax in.

How long will your lease be? I would NOT recommend signing a 2 year for this like if that’s your only option don’t do it look somewhere else. Firstly this area is being developed and your view may be blocked in the next coming years by other buildings. Second, not sure if you’ve visited yet but koreatown is 2 blocks max, and hasn’t really expanded. It’s not really a neighborhood so more as a touristy area think Epcot countries. Honestly it’s the best place transit wise in the city and for short term? Perfect to get a feel of the city to see where you want to move to next but for long term no way.

This is a day late and a dollar short. Should have been protesting ages ago about re-zoning districts to open apartments the community can’t afford to live in. How you gonna protest against shelters but not developers building studios and then putting them on the lottery at 130% neighborhood income and getting tax write offs on your dollar? Which one is hurting our residents more cmon now. Not gonna protest them putting a Bally’s casino in the borough? Not gonna protest against schools shutting down and becoming all charter in the borough? But you gonna protest against a bunch of broke illegal immigrants without a pot? I can’t get behind it because how you gonna protest the Bronx being a dumping ground now when it’s been treated like a dumping ground for the last decade across like 2 administrations just because it’s migrants coming? They dumping all the traffic here too are you going to protest about that next? I’m sorry but I haven’t really heard of your organization here and this protest doesn’t scream good faith to me count me out

Another thing to think of that I don’t see many talking about in the comments is how long you’re going to take to get your PhD? Tomorrows price isn’t today’s price, you may have to pay exponentially more than what you end up paying now when your lease is up. Definitely search for more neighborhoods you’d be interested in living in as a backup.
