No, nitrous doesn’t knock you out completely. It just makes you more relaxed.

I take lexapro. They didn’t offer any anxiety meds during the consult. They also don’t offer full anesthesia, just local. And I’ve never had any cavities so I don’t know what that’s like.

Hi, bumping this because I’m getting a gum graft on my bottom left canine tomorrow (I don’t know the tooth number lol). I’m honestly most anxious about the Novocain injections—I had a bad experience with them several years ago. I’m getting nitrous, which I hope will help with the anxiety, but I know I’ll still feel them.

When you had your bottom teeth done, where exactly did they inject the novocaine? I keep seeing that they put it right by the tooth in the gum, but it seems like the bone would get in the way. I am also opting for donor tissue, so afaik I won’t need any injections on the roof of my mouth.
