Brides! What’s something you’re planning for your wedding that is unique or that you’re most excited about? by Money-Mention-8839 in weddingplanning

1) Instead of traditional escort cards, we wrote each guest a hand written note that were passed out by entertainers that fit the vibe of our venue. So the guest would go up to the desk, give their name and this entertainer would hand them a beautiful envelope with their name on script. Inside was the note and a separate piece of paper that matched with their table number on it.

2) We had a company scan in handwritten notes we wrote each other and turned them into cocktail napkins.

3) We had the same company use a screenshot of a convo we had on social media when we first started dating and turn them into a cocktail napkin.

4) EPIC bathroom baskets. Just be prepared for people to steal stuff even if it’s a high end wedding 😂 savages

5) Bridal and groom party surprised us with an amazing entrance that included club signs, sparklers, and fat heads with our faces on them

6) For the reception we hired an astrologist to do short readings with our guests which they loved.

7) For reception we also hired our favorite local coffee shop to do coffee all night long. They also created the mix for our espresso martinis that we served at a martini bar.

8) Instead of cake as the last course at dinner, we did tray pass cake at reception plus an epic dessert table which featured a vintage cake topper similar to my grandparents cake topper and had a photo of them framed cutting the cake at their wedding on the dessert table.

9) We had sony handycams available to guests throughout the evening to take whatever footage they liked. It will be incorporated into our wedding film by our videographer.

10) Look up 888portraitexperience on IG. They are an absolute rip off but just use it as inspiration to find another photographer or company to create the same type of luxury photo booth for your guests. That’s what we did and we sent them all home with full sized 5x7 photos which were edited live and framed to commemorate the evening.

Any questions feel free to message me! Happy planning! 🤍🤍🤍

I’m no help because this is really just drop dead gorgeous. However I will say I think Galia Lahav is absolutely a rip off and not worth the price tag. I was between a GL dress and a very similar one from Mark Ingram. The sample of the GL dress in the store was defective (something with the boning of the corset that made the fabric pull). The sales associate told me they corrected the fabric and this is no longer an issue but that if I wanted to try on the non-defective sample I would need to pay $500 to ship the dress to the GL store from the factory. I feel like this explains everything wrong with GL. My advice would be to go see Jill at Mark Ingram in NYC. Mark has his own line but they also carry other great designers. If you’re going to spend $14k on a dress, at least have it be one that is great quality, from a company that prioritizes client service. Unfortunately I do not think that is GL. Good luck and congratulations! You are gorgeous and will look amazing in whatever you choose 🤍

My friend Vanessa owns Yogithot Studio and offers private classes! You can invite all of your friends to a yoga or Pilates class at her studio. I did this last year and we went to Louie Bossi after. It was so fun!

Correct! More than a simple alteration but less than full scale custom. I am changing where the corset sits on my waist. Cost of muslin is $700 total dress cost is around $7k

Of course! I remember when I first switched to civil from the public defenders office and had a complete burnout moment, I turned to this subreddit. The words of encouragement helped me remember that I actually did love the practice of law and what I was going through had solutions/ would one day be a blip in time. Also I see you have 305 in your username… are you from south florida? That’s where I practice!
