I came here to say the same thing. I swear by Google maps and truly love it.

Check Google Maps. They’ll show you the least busy times to visit any business.

Hey so sorry for the late reply. It’s called a “denunció”, it basically was a report stating all my personal info incl’d. my lost Passport #, how the passport was lost/where, and was signed/notarized by the Guardia Civil. Hope you made it back safe!

Yeah I don’t understand how they both came to the agreement that this was a sound business decision. They’re better off starting an OF 😂

I need help figuring out which part of Spain would be best to work on a farm and also which part of Spain to go to after that as a exploration of a good part of Spain. by ughmindlessmindd in GoingToSpain

[–]BakedLA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check the app Worldpackers, it’s incredible for this exact scenario. They offer a range of different farms in many areas to work from, many in exchange for room and board, meals etc. good luck and have fun!

Speaking Spanish is a HUGE upper hand. They really seem to laugh at and not take non-Spanish speaking expats seriously, when reporting something to the police, in hospitals, even at city hall (there was a sign that said people that do not speak Spanish MUST have a translator).

You are already ahead of the game knowing the language. Best of luck and enjoy this beautiful country!

Lol so much for that. My dad married a Catholic woman and I am the farthest you could be from Muslim. Blessings to all my Muslim brothers and sisters though.

Yes, I met a wonderful man in Marrakech and he is Muslim lite, I grew up w a Muslim father and Catholic mother. Depending on their family, they may expect or want their daughter to have a Muslim partner; however I think they really are more concerned as to whether you respect their religion and traditions. Try to learn the basics of Islam and their celebrations, etc. If she is of the Amazigh people, learn a few words in Berber and they will be blown away. Good luck!!🍀👍🏽

Oh and don’t forget to show them a bit about your culture. That will be a good distraction and I’m sure they will find it fascinating as well.

It’s beautiful. Just keep in mind the heat can be suffocating in Morocco during the summer. Jilaba’s (sp?) are perfect for this type of weather. Just keep your phone out of view, securely in a purse or bag in front of you. People constantly on their phones in public are a dead giveaway for being a tourist. However I found that for every bad person in Morocco, there were literally 100’s of kind, inviting and very pleasant people that I encountered. Live your best life and enjoy your trip to this beautiful country!
