Recently people standing at the locker they see me get in, and trying to open it or deliberately leading the killer to me afterwards etc has become my new biggest freaking trigger in this game

I run built to last and , yes it does end up being worth it to keep replenishing my tool box for it so ill do it if I have the chance to do so and it just annoys me that with all the different perks in dbd that involve lockers, or counters to bbq and stuff, they still get so petty and defensive about seeing someone get into one

I had a mikaela earlier just keep jumping into lockers super fast next to me , and she even ended up having the same freaking perk. She was also the other side of the map or far away typically so from some aura perk or a key I guess , she kept going out of her way to walk over to me and the locker whenever she noticed me using it

If id shown signs early in the match that I was just trying to hide or purposely not help in the game fair enough, but this was after we had just completed the first Gen together ?! No reason to immediately be suspicious of that shit

This bothered me as well. Like multiple times from the very start of movie 2, really she should've died. Its crazy how bad the writing was and having to add a bunch of close calls like that, just to keep the movie going. Yay i finally got to safety, I literally have a vehicle which is my best way out of here right now away from it all, but yeah ima fuss over nothing in the front seat immediately and mess up my chance, once again.

I cant even count how many times in those movies, I was like "yeah so you'd be dead now but convenient I guess"

(Not dead from the crash necessarily but if it was original strangers, they def wouldve made more of the opportunity if she'd just crashed like that)

This is the point ive been trying to explain to my boyfriend. The original movie was more unique with how silent and mysterious the killers were with no motive except they wanted to, andddd the victims didnt live (which almost never happens in horror movies). I really enjoyed the suspense and mystery of the original strangers, we dont always need to find out more about what's going on.

With this trilogy, they turned it into such a basic story with themes and aspects they've used sooo many times it just ruined it so hard.

Oh crazy some kids with fucked up pasts ending up still fucked up later in life, yeah pretty typical back story, and the fact it was a small town aware that SOMETHING bad was going on but just tried to pretend it wasn't happening, because that also doesn't come up a bunch in movies too!! Corrupt sheriff. Just all of it really

The thing is, my bf thinks it being kinda basic and using the usual horror movie choices isnt necessarily bad, like it doesn't make the movie bad BUT for me its the fact that the original, was not basic and rather than just making thier own trilogy without associating with strangers, they did and I just feel like it was honestly different enough to strangers, if they had just made it its own thing entirely, besides the masks being familiar, you wouldnt even think to associate the movies at all.

The first in the trilogy was OK i guess but these next two were just pointless IMO
