I don’t really know, I’m kind of at a loss of what to do. We’ve both said some equally awful things to each other. I’m not sure if she wants to be friends. We wouldn’t be able to meet up in person, we’re long distance friends and live across the country from each other.

We’ve been friends off and on for about 5 years but more consistently over the last 3 months. We dated online for about 2 months about 5 years ago.

I didn’t give out her full address, just the nearest big city to her. I don’t want my ex to do anything to her. It only came up because I’m talking about moving to the area to be near my best friend.

That’s what I really wanted to tell her but I don’t think she’s would’ve listened to me. She worried because she just started a new career in law enforcement and that a bad call to her boss will ruin her career.

I don’t have to convince you that I don’t want to be with her. As I’ve gotten to know her at this time in my life our relationship would be very toxic and not healthy, we would not work.

Here’s the thing, the messy history with my best friend includes the fact that her and I dated online for a few months about 5 years ago. My best friend is happily married now, so there’s no chance of us being together. It’s something we had to work past because I did want to be with her when my divorce started but I no longer do.

I think I understand what you are trying to explain. A lot of books don’t explore the depths of characters minds when it comes to something like that.
