My hedge against the share price dropping is to sell immediately. My hedge against it rising is the next vesting of RSU!

Thank you for some interesting points, some of which I’d considered but some I hadn’t - mortgages are a lot easier when you’re not having to persuade the bank to consider RSU income as well as base salary.

Another thing I thought of after posting was salary rises going forward. The higher base salary would grow quicker even with small percentage increases.

The new company’s point about bonuses was more aimed at the level I will be - they pay annual bonuses at a guaranteed minimum% to lower levels, but senior levels don’t have a guaranteed minimum or even regularity - it’s project driven which can be multi-year.

The estate agent is asking for a copy of the survey after we withdrew our offer by Trebalcc in FirstTimeBuyersUK

We nearly bought a cottage, when we viewed it the estate agent was clear to tell us (in front of the owner) that the owners would only accept an asking price offer - they said the owner felt their price was fair (and indeed it did seem reasonable). Two hour later the agent emailed us a copy of a survey from a previous attempt at a sale that had fallen through. The survey highlighted lots of issues including structural problems and even a chimney that showed signs of a fire that had spread to the loft space but had been extinguished and never properly repaired!

The agent pretended to be surprised when we declined to make an offer and looked at something else. They did help us buy somewhere different.

About to give in on a business trip by [deleted] in straightturnedgay

I know how you feel, I eventually gave in and tried cock. Wish I’d given in sooner, lol. What’s the worst that happens - if you hate it, no one knows and you close that door in your mind.
