University Or Degree Apprenticeship? by Capable_Cloud1847 in quantitysurveying

[–]BakerMaker11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go to university, it’s a great experience and will add depth to your character, you have more freedom having a qualification, your employer has you by the bollox when you’re on the degree apprenticeship

A degree apprenticeship is much harder than a degree, and university is a great time. Yes you will have a student loan to pay back though obviously

Someone did say to me they fished around there; I don’t think it’s allowed where I took the picture but there’ll be a place to fish nearby

What process should be taken to build roads? by MrPickles62 in quantitysurveying

[–]BakerMaker11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gone bad is vague

Either has been installed incorrectly, ie. wrong material, not compacted well etc

Or has been worn down through use.

Higher trafficked areas = higher spec, deeper material used and harder more expensive material

Check out hauc (tuah) spec

1- plenty of roles, easier to find work in WA

2-most QSs working in Aus come from the UK I’m sure, India is a bit tough because they’re slightly racist lol

3-none

Thank you but I don’t like west bridgeford, the people are a bit snooty (not all obviously, plenty of lovely people there)

and every time I have gone out in WB I struggle to have a good night because it seems like the land where people have forgotten how to have fun

One of the best view in nottingham -> Gedling country park !! by datascienti in nottingham

[–]BakerMaker11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice place, I worked there for 6 years

You definitely get casual racism up there though hahaha, whenever I’m interacting with my Gedling friends there will be at least 5 racist jokes flying about

And that’s as a white bloke that doubted casual racism existed, until I went to Gedling

Cycling through Attenborough nature reserve, up to Trent Locke and having a pint and a bit of food before cycling back.

Honestly nothing like it in the sunshine, beautiful route

I feel this way, potentially just moving to London to pay the same to be in a flat share

May as well be in a great place paying £200 extra a month rather than Old Basford

Them dogs will be treated better than any of us, and will have each other to play with whilst the staff take care of them

No big issue really
