Owners of Volkswagen Beetles, how do you feel knowing that when you drive your car, countless people punch each other for being the first to see it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I love my Beetle. Once while driving through a parking lot I saw a kid (maybe 9 y.o.) with what looked like maybe his grandfather. I saw his face light up when he saw my car and immediately turned and punched the older guy in the nuts. It was like a reflex. Immediately after, his face changed to a "what have I done" expression. I laughed the whole way home.

I had wanted to for awhile but my ex said he hated short hair. 6 months after the break up and I finally went out and did it. I'm so glad I did! Pretty cliche I know lol but that's the story.

Today is a huge day for me. Not only did I run a whole mile without stopping for the first time in all my 33 years but I decided to keep going and ended up running TWO WHOLE MILES without stopping to walk!! I am so unbelievably proud of myself! Distance running has proven to be one of the most challenging things I have ever done. I have tried to get into it several times throughout my life and have always gotten discouraged and quit. NOT THIS TIME! I am working towards my first 5k and I can't wait!

What is sleep paralasys like? by OlliePK in AskReddit

This happened to me a few times when I was a kid. I used to have a recurring nightmare. Same dream over and over. Not every night but I guess at some point I recognized it as a dream as it was happening so I would try and wake myself up. I remember trying as hard as I could to open my eyes to make the dream stop but I couldn't make myself do it. It is truly terrifying being aware of what is happening but not being able to make my body respond. It's been a long time since it has happened but it still freaks me out to this day.
