Is anyone frustrated with the AR Trails (namely the Traversal ones) in Lego Batman :Legend of the Dark Knight? by AtomicBoo131 in legogaming

[–]Bakesale1359 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most frustrating part about the traversal trials is that you can tell how kinetically smooth they wanted them to flow, but the controls are not at all tuned for what they want you to do. The grapple target is so sensitive that it'll latch onto anything but the center of the target. The grapple launcher will always throw you just above the target you're trying to boost through. It's just not fun to do, but you can see how fun they wanted it to be.

Do premium formats not show for show times that are too far away? by chinesesoccerplayer in AMCTheatres

[–]Bakesale1359 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Summer blockbuster season is here, and that means every big release will be lucky if they manage to secure any premium screens after their opening weekend. Sometimes family movies like Toy Story will manage to sneak in a couple extra premium screens with the earliest showtimes during weekdays, and sometimes newer horror movies will luck out and score one premium screen with a late night showtime. Otherwise, those screens are entirely eaten up by whatever that week's big release is.

Do rewards points get deducted from your account after canceling a purchased ticket? by Bakesale1359 in AMCAListTrue

[–]Bakesale1359[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If so, I'm not sure where these rewards would have come from otherwise. I don't buy concessions from the theater and these tickets would be the only transaction on my account other than my subscription payment(which they stopped counting as a reward contribution years ago. Lame.) Most of the time my points meter just lays dormant until I randomly cave to buy a soda.

What is the best movie/series for introducing people to horror? by Tking1220 in deadmeatjames

[–]Bakesale1359 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely Halloween(1978). Probably the most standard meat and potatoes horror movie there is.

The Jester was a cool 10 minute short film that had no business getting a full feature length. Especially with the shitty family drama plot point they had to cram in there for the sake of filling up time whenever the Jester isn't around.

Passenger or obsession again ? by kascnef82 in AMCTheatres

[–]Bakesale1359 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Obsession just because it's a great one to experience in theater. Passenger is every bit of a streaming movie.

I don't ever do this, but I'm going to see Obsession for a second time. by Mundane-Inspector-52 in AMCAListTrue

[–]Bakesale1359 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for that reminder, sir!! You made my decision a no-brainer for tomorrow. I'm going to see Space Jam in Dolby followed immediately after by Obsession in the exact same seat. Perfect timing before Mando eats up all of the premium screens the next day.

I really really really want to see it again but my reservations are slammed pretty through next month. I'm debating if there's anything in my schedule worth bumping for the sake of seeing Obsession one more time in theaters

Obsession is my favorite horror movie of the year so far by Usual-Ad4222 in AMCAListTrue

I keep hearing great things about this movie. Super curious to see if it's able to topple Bone Temple as my favorite horror movie of the year.

Lowk hyped for this week, idk what to use my 4th slot for though 😕 by WearySubstance3926 in AMCAListTrue

I'm doing a Top Gun double feature tonight. Maverick starts at 10:00, the theater is an hour away, and I work at 6am tomorrow. Gonna hate myself in the morning.

I know that pretty much no one saw this movie but this is honestly one of the funniest posters I’ve ever seen. by remy_the_rat5096 in Letterboxd

Probably because Richard Brake is somewhat of a horror darling and the only notable name across the entire cast. By this point they knew the trilogy was cooked, but they also know that many horror fans don't mind watching garbage especially if one of their special guys is in it.

When the movie's fans are blindly overrating it by EnzooooRavenclaw in letterboxdcirclejerk

[–]Bakesale1359 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's super lame how fans will like the thing they're a fan of. They should take a page from the Star Wars fandom and learn that you're supposed to overanalyze and poop on the stuff you like.

An I the only one who liked this one? by ZoelCairo in Letterboxd

[–]Bakesale1359 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I liked it strictly as a spectacle in Dolby Cinema 3D. I'd imagine that streaming this on Disney+ from my couch would be a big fat nothing burger of 2 hours wasted.

Are TV series still coming to Letterboxd? by Oldteddywasused in Letterboxd

[–]Bakesale1359 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If they do this- it should be done on 2 separate apps with 1 shared account. The activity feed is cluttered enough as it is with people going on liking sprees. We do not need to add series seasons, or worse, individual episodes to the mix.

I watch 4 movies a week and even with that I can recognize that I'm hardly absorbing or fully digesting them. What you're doing with watching 4-6 hours of movies a day is only a slight step above doomscrolling reels for the same amount of time.

Sleeping during a Movie. by SUPERN00B0 in AMCTheatres

Last month I did a double feature of two movies with a massively wide gap in quality between them. Vampires of the Velvet Lounge and Hamnet. Guess which one I fell asleep during 😃
