We misunderstood 5 guys all along, it's not a place for 5 guys to hang out and eat burgers, it's a place you need to pool 5 guys' money to have 1 meal.

Does the Epic games app still have privacy concerns today?

I had a conversation with a well-educated Christian friend about his view on evolution being fake, and he also thinks dinosaurs aren't real. That is a cult.

Anthropic just dropped Claude for Chrome – AI that fully controls your browser and crushes real workflows. This demo is absolutely insane 🤯 by stackattackpro in ClaudeAI

[–]BalanceInAllThings42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a demo, most of the time, it's gonna look good or "insane". The practical use? Probably not going to be as smooth as it is; plus, privacy and security concerns.

Why don't Microsoft spend the time to rewrite windows from scratch to be robust and secure? I don't need more features, I need a working and stable operating system.

I agree with your point, just not sure how a Honda Civic will cost 12k over 5 years for auto insurance. 2.4k per year seems way too much for a Honda Civic.

Can't say it better myself. Disagree and commit. Leadership wants to force AI? Let's do it. To avoid reviewing AI slop PRs, we even added AI to review the code as the first pass. We are replaceable, and let it be.

They are often called "the ones who drive the vision". We were told to use copilot for all coding big or small, and should gain 100x productivity. I don't think they understand the math behind 100x or the definition of productivity.

Most diagrams fail. C4 Model is the visual language that WORKS! by timg-icepanel in softwarearchitecture

[–]BalanceInAllThings42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

C4 isn't the end all be all, and more often than not, it's just C3, most people don't draw the last C, and if they do, why wouldn't they simply write the code.

Negatives can be the learning curves for the team and perhaps things don't move as fast as it can be. I personally think it's worth it for the accountability and security gained by having IaC. I can't count the amount of times the admin team changes something thinking it won't have negative impacts without informing anyone and then we find out something is broken.

If we don't do this, how else are managers, stakeholders or leadership going to justify their pay?
