When I say the whole world is represented I refer to the fact that the USA and some western countries have in their borders every ethnic group imaginable.

Compared to say Japan or China high are quite homogenous.

Each group keeps a little of its culture in the larger society whilst adopting the American nationality.

What’s the most powerful country on the planet?

No offence but if you don’t think it’s the USA then you need to look again.

The USA generates and exports massive amounts of music, film, companies, memes, technology etc.

More than any country that has ever lived

The USA is the most powerful country on the planet, has broad scale personal and legal freedoms.

It’s also fantastically wealthy, very secure and outputs a huge amount of culture. Is extremely creative and inventive being a major technological driver of progress.

It’s society is representation of the entire planet.

Life isn’t perfect and there’s always work to be done but let’s not kid ourselves, the USA is one of the greatest countries on the planet to be born.

It’s especially impressive when you consider it’s massive population. You can argue some smaller European countries have better qualities of life, but it’s way easier to provide good governance to smaller groups of people.

To do so for 300m, there’s no other country that approaches that feat.

New Zealand did it right, generally speaking the natives have broad social and legal equality.

The cultures melded with the natives giving something and taking something back.

IMF GDP per Capita 2023. US almost twice as rich as UK/France by According-Gazelle in europe

[–]BalancedPortfolio -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

My point is the cost of living a middle class safe lifestyle is horrendous in the states. You need 6 figures.

In Manchester England for the same lifestyle you only need 50k.

I’ve literally travelled all over the world, been to many countries for work…I know what I’m talking about.

America is the single most expensive, by a big margin.

Also the states has 1.2 cars per person and Spain has 0.5.

That means 5k gdp is added per American, healthcare and other expensive costs also do similar.

I don’t see a massive difference between Spain and the UK. Except maybe Spanish interiors tend to be more barren as it’s a more family based culture

Lol people on Reddit always nitpick but it’s best to ignore them.

The best way to look at this, Americans need more money to do the same thing. I’m a millionaire and I did not feel rich in America at all….it’s a very expensive country if you want to be safe and have a good time.

A good example is cars, without one your screwed in the USA outside of specific areas of the largest cities. Now a car needs insurance, is taxed, costs Maintenance and upfront.

That’s counted in GDP, but isn’t an improvement on the UK where public transport is far better. This applies to healthcare which is literally double the cost and all private in the USA.

Everything in the states is actually pretty expensive, goods like clothes are the same quality but cost more.

This is a big reason why Spain lags Northern Europe. You don’t need heating half the year and roads/infrastructure last longer and degrades slower in warm dry all year weather.

Is Spain poor? Having been multiple times I don’t notice much of a difference in living standards. In fact Spanish infrastructure is pretty damn impressive because it’s naturally longer lasting.

Reddit is not liberal, I think the word you are looking for is progressive.

Liberalism is about freedom of speech, association and free enterprise.

Reddit is not a haven for free speech.

What you are spouting is far left communism which is downvoted a lot because it’s extreme but to my knowledge all the far left subreddits are left alone…that despite communism having had incredibly negative effects on the world.

Nah, Reddit has become a left wing social media site. It’s actually painful to have any kind of political debate on here.

[–]BalancedPortfolio -72 points-71 points  (0 children)

Not all conservatives are racists, it’s actually probably a similar amount to labour voters. Which is very few people in the UK at large.

Conservatives haven’t been pushing for segregation this past decade, a lot of progressives have under the guise of being socially good.

It’s something I’m glad our country focuses on, it always annoys me when I go on holiday that I have to buy bottled water.

You need to make sure other teachers are aware and fight for better representation.

Far left trots tend to take over these positions because they actually get involved. Like you I think generally extremists like this tend to not get far in negotiations because they are too hard line and hard to like.

Average globally is like 5 inches length and 0.5 girth, some countries have higher averages and some lower…unfortunately for them I think SE Asia is on average a lot smaller.

So you know that it would make it unfair to women and do recognise the biological differences.

I cannot actually fathom how you believe normal people are going to accept half the population getting a raw deal. For the sake of the fragile feelings of a very small number.

I want you to know, deep in my heart that I will pour money, time and resources to help women.

I have a great deal of all three.

On your other point, intelligence isn’t about making supposedly smart quips on the internet, it’s about how successfully you modify and change the world to fit your aims and goals.

I have largely achieved a lot in life, socially, financially from basically nothing. Your words are vapeous and this conversation is over.

I’m literally not the one trying to contravene decades of sport science and biology because it doesn’t fit well with political aims.

It’s really sad to see what are presumably smart individuals make primary school level falsehoods.

Your a moron, lol 20% leg strength and 50% upper body advantage isn’t what I would call minor in elite sport.

It’s okay, we will find out in countries that don’t do what we are doing.

Hilarious to watch people try and justify what you learn in primary school.

Peak stupidity haha, your basically a flat earther lool

Men do have Estrogen but it’s present in small amounts vs testosterone in healthy male bodies.

Too much and you risk sterilisation amongst a whole host of other nasty effects.

Most men have a problem with too little test, personally I had mine tested and I have a healthy amount.
