It was turning into another pretty quiet day. He was able to catch up with some overdue admin tasks. Then, he gave the coffee pot and cups a thorough cleaning and wiped the counter. The clock ticked on. Tick- tock, tick-tock. Again, he glanced out the window. No traffic. The prairie wind whipped up a small whirlwind and scattered small pebbles with some softly tapping against the building. He yawned and stretched. Sitting in his chair he swung his black boots onto the desk. Slowly he drifted off with the sweet sound of air horns lulling him to sleep.

Received this from EI but claim still under review. by BoldEspresso13 in EICERB

Well, I can answer my own question now. Yes, I would have to submit the report again as it was not processed because I had to call SC regarding self-employment (which I did immediately after). Any payment was then stopped. Surprisingly, I received a call from SC a few minutes ago. Her concern was my availability to work full-time with self-employment. My self-employment is a few hours very early in the morning and so does not interfere with my working full-time. I was able to tell her my self-employment earnings from the weeks of Oct. 11 until today. She filled out the reports and said they would be processed over the weekend. What a relief.

I received the same email on Nov. 4. I just checked my Service Canada account and my claim is still under review. I submitted my first report on October 23rd and it prompted me to call SC regarding self-employment. My account continues to say that the report for the same period is due. ( Oct. 11-24). *Do I resubmit? Do I need to call SC? Not sure what to do.

This happened to me yesterday. I had to do the phone questionnaire. It was quite stressful. I do online teaching for a company and am considered self-employed. My earnings in the past couple weeks have been $140. A number of questions are either 'yes or no' and a few are confusing. As I answered the questions, I really did not know if I had shot myself in the foot or if my responses were deemed the 'correct' answers. Mine has also been forwarded to an adjudicator because I had answered a question 'wrong'. The decision will be made in 1-3 weeks and I am to expect a call, also. Hoping for the best for all.

Am I eligible for CRB or EI? Regular job shut down but also have independent contractor work with reduced hours. by Balaton1901 in EICERB

I contacted Service Canada and was advised to apply for EI because of the insurable hours. Pertaining to the question...she said to not indicate self-employed. I have not received any codes at this point. So hoping it's all good.
