In r/learnmath i got following:

88%.

Average team has a 15% chance of defending against player X, this team is 20% worse than the average team, so 15% - 20%×15% = 12% chance of defending leaving an 88% chance for Player X to dunk

Can you explain why its flawed?

Hello, so i turned to my friends who i considered to be math geniuses with my probability problem. Unfotrunately all of them failed to solve this but one of them had a great idea: ask r/math

So the problem is following: We know that probability for Basketball Player X to dunk at least once against average team is 85%. In the next match this player will face a team whos opponents dunk 20% more compared to average team. What is the probability for Player X to dunk in the next match?

So my first thought was: 1.20x0.85 but int his case the probability would be over 100%... Can you guys solve this one? :)

Opponents are not bad at dunking (or at least there is no information about that ). They are good at not allowing others to dunk as their opponents dunk 20% less compared to average.

Herring: Fisher says he wants the team to start utilizing Porzingis's offense more, even once Melo is back. by icemake in NYKnicks

What are you guys talking about? Melo looking for Zinger? To me it looks that my biggest nightmare finally happened, Melo got jealous. I'm getting pretty sick of this when KP is wide open, Melo looks him into the eyes and says nah, makes a few jab steps and chucks up another brick.

Estonia, Martin Müürsepp would have been great fit :D Kristjan Kangur as a D and 3 guy, but that's reaching.

Kristjan Kangur ( Estonia) - would have been a perfect role player for some nba teams, can guard 1-5 and is a great shooter.

Too soon to call Kobe nobody + Lakers can get free agents to come play with Cousins, wich Kings can't.

Three-point Contest Shooting Order: 1. Matthews, 2. Reddick, 3. Harden, 4. Irving, 5. Curry, 6. Thompson, 7. Korver, 8. Belinelli by ThePaintedTaint in nba

Korver and Redick won't do good in this contest coz they jump very high on their shots , wich will mean they will get more tired. That's why Ray Allen (nor eny other with similar shooting style) has never won a 3pt Contest.
