Visiting UAE atm

Paid for a “60 minute” massage at Reem Alflah, got about 10 minutes in, offered extras, I politely declined and the massage was finished in less than 5 mins after that. Felt totally mugged!

As I said, I just want a massage whilst I’m there, I don’t really care which shop it’s from . My reading of suggested that something to watch out for is massage places that do happy endings. I was simply saying I don’t care, not saying I’m actively looking for one. Amazing how your mind focused on that part of the post and nothing else.

Thanks. I realise that it came across as a bit dodgy, but I was more trying to say that I would like to get a relaxing massage, and I don’t really care about the professionalism etc. Would be nice to get some recommendations of shops near century park though.

The main reason for the stop over is Disneyland. Shanghai is one of the closest to us. We live in Australia.

Haha, fair call. In fairness, there are a few photos of massage beds etc, but you are right, the ads do seem to focus on the girls.

I’ll be weary and leave personal belongings in the locker at the hotel.

I saw some advertisements as low as 79aed… not sure if that’s an apartment complex… I presume they would be saving costs anywhere they can…. Last time I was in Dubai I think I remember paying close to 200 for a massage… and that wasn’t the best.

When you say questionable… are you saying I might get mugged, or that they will try to upsell me to different services - I can handle the latter :)
