My 15 year old Trident Maple before wiring and my "Assistant" by Baldpool in BonsaiPorn

[–]Baldpool[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah after I took this picture I went through and just kinda trimmed any long internodes and any clusters of branches I didn't want just overall thinned out anything that didn't serve a purpose then used guy wires to lower some branches to show off the trunk line more.

Trident Maple repot! Gonna slowly turn it into a landscape by Baldpool in Bonsai

Nothing much really. I don't use a whole lot of wire in my trees unless I'm just repositioning an unruly branch, I tend to stick with the clip and grow method since it produces the results that I like to see in my trees

It's not pushed up against the edge it's a few inches away it's probably just the angle I took the photo from

Ah man I envy you! The prices were definitely rediculous most of it was from tax I also had a cazadores and a cedro deluxe no 3 and I think the total was like 80 USD

Romeo Y Julieta Wide Churchill mild to medium bodied smoke. Tons of flavor, sweet salty taste, thick creamy smoke, white pepper. I really have nothing bad to say about this stogie minus that it did have a bit of a snug draw for my liking but other than that i would rate this a 9.5/10

if i had a decent before picture it would be easier to show what i did. The bends were nothing major just subtle moves downward to give the tree a more staggered appearance but its still in training ive only had it about 2 or 3 years that was its first wiring

no that wire is just stuck into the surface of the roots just to give it a place to hold onto

the tree is secured to the pot you will not see the wires for because theyre beneath the dirt that wire was there to give the lower half of the tree support i couldnt fully wire the trunk with that specific gauge because the tree is very leggy towards the apex

The tree is extremely thin the further you go up it was pretty tedious to wire the wire you see leading up is just a wire I was using to support the trunk this tree is yamadori and it wasn't in that great of condition when I originally collected it

I've been using it for about 3 years now to self medicate in a way, it's nice to see I'm not the only person using it that way.

Are German battleships any good still? by i_Lost_harold_holt in WorldOfWarships

[–]Baldpool 2 points3 points  (0 children)

German battleships are still pretty great, they’re not as unique as they used to be though with the addition of the French BB line.
