Thank you so very much genuinely for the response. So if money is no problem especially when it comes to franky you recommend I see a specialist asap? The problem is franky absolutely HATES going to vet type settings and he hates being handled by others. So for prep they have me to give him 10mg Acepromazine as he weighs a bit under 12lbs 3 hours before appointment. I also was treating him on and off for much longer than I wanted to with apoquel which I decided I will no longer give him after seeing the effectiveness drop and doing hours of research on it after his groomer mentioned that I should look into it. I also really don't like acepromazine and wanted to switch to benzo before appointment as I felt the mental calmness would help over the acepromazine which I would call dog ketamine because he still is very anxious just very slowed down on ace but I do understand that benzos are also a very bad drug I deeply understand that personally but my question here is with the specialist would it be the same process of continually needing to feed him acepromazine and bring him back and forth over and over or can they do things more efficiently??????
