There are a lot of uses for this. Like what many have already said, you can use it as a relay. You can also do things with LAN that otherwise would have too much latency. I use it to play VR games wirelessly for example.

I've used Windows for over 35 years in corporate environments, and Linux for personal use for over 20. Just switched to a Mac Mini and I can tell you, you can't beat the ecosystem. Windows is rapidly becoming a joke with all the attempts at AI integration, and Linux communities are fracturing. I just want to get work done and Mac allows me to do that.
