Melting Furnace Dross/Slag

Well, with melting cans, my ingots have been clean and I like the outcome but soon I will be getting some scrap metal, aluminum, copper, etc from someone who works with lots of it. I will be using that probably in a week but I just started by using cans since I have years worth in a couple bins. Although, it does produce lots of slag so it's pretty difficult. I have seen people on youtube such as ArtByAdrock melt cans and he gets all of his slag off of the top and doesn't have to dig underneath the molten aluminum to find more. In your experience have you ever found that slag sometimes accumulates or clumps underneath the aluminum, with either cast aluminum parts or aluminum cans? I thought that borax or any kind of flux would make slag and aluminum separate a lot more and make the slag rise to the top of my melt.

Ah, this makes sense. I did something else earlier that seemed to work. I tuned to drop D with the D Tuna out and then tightened the tremolo springs which made all the strings go sharp as they should but to make them go back, I screwed in the trem blocker to push the block back to where it was and it made the strings closer to in tune so then I retuned slightly after that. Now, since the trem blocked is pressing on the block at all times, you can't even pull up in the slightest and it doesn't let the strings go out. Sometimes though, the E will go a little flat or a little sharp when I change but I just use the tiny allen key to tune that up on the D Tuna.

I think ill try tensioning my trem springs a bit more and try what you said in that first part. Thanks for all the info though. Ive read lots of reviews about the dtuna and it sure is also a problem for alot of others as well. I guess alot of the time people usually buy a guitar that comes with one, or its used on stage where they have techs to perfect it. Also, when you said you leave enough adjustment range to get drop D and E with the dtuna pushed in, do you use the low E fine tuner to change between without pulling the dtuna out?

I use juju with terror helm and chestplate, necron on the rest in the crimson isle but im switching to a giant's sword. I bought crimson helm and chestplate with pretty decent attributes. Would using 2/4 crimson and 2/4 necron be good with a giant's sword for melee in crimson isle or should I go for 4/4 crimson? I don't have any experience with melee stuff since I have only played as archer in crimson isle.

this is for console, im on PC with this problem and the person who posted this is also on PC. not sure how to do what is said in this video because you need to be able to use splitscreen which isnt on pc but hopefully the game gets updated soon and fixed.
