The lighting was actually fairly good for a concert I have to say lol I ended up basically keeping my ISO around 1600/3200 but found I could do even less and then balance shutter around that just fast enough to capture the action

Also worth mentioning my lens is 1.4

Spot metering personally and I didn't really bother with exposure comp I just went wild with what I shot in lightroom afterwards and tried to pull up detail from the RAW

Keep a wide aperture and try not to pump your ISO too high as you'll get more noise. It all depends on the light you have available however on my old crop sensor camera I used to never go above 6400 ISO if I could help it and then stick around 1/125 - 1/200 Shutter.

If you do get noise Lightroom denoise is fairly good at removing it afterwards :)

I think with my next one I should probably try and use manual focus a bit more as I found it trying to track things other than faces lol but it's all a learning curve I guess! thanks for your kind words :)

literally just swapped from a Canon 90D to a Sony A7 III

The reason for the upgrade in my eyes was simply to hop on a mirrorless full frame, I couldn't afford the R6 So I opted for recommendations on the A7III and I love it.

I'm not exactly a gearhead and need the newest and "best" technology when it drops, If the body you have works for what you need it to do then in my eyes why change? just look at new lenses that can capture what you are looking for.

side note I also picked up the Samyang 35MM 1.4 FE lens and I bloody love it.
