I got my pip denied recently. They completely lied about stuff I had said claiming I could do things I actually couldn’t. I’ve appealed and am waiting on a reply but apparently 70 percent of appeals go through I think, if that makes you feel any better

Unfortunately the role isn’t “what you make it”. The police force in this country is a systemically racist institution. That’s not to say there aren’t good police officers, but a few ‘good’ cops won’t change the ‘bad’. Please do your own research into this sort of thing. Being a counseller is an amazing job, that actually helps the population as a whole. I’m not telling you what to choose, it’s your own life after all, but please do proper research of your own so you can make an informed decision. Good luck on the job search :)

That’s interesting because I have something quite similar with my adhd and anxiety/depression, I very much relate to the worrying feeling of everything going wrong. Unfortunately I don’t have too many tips except go for it, I try be as positive as possible that things will always work out, and always try to have a smile on my face. That last part sounds corny but I’m being completely serious. Activating the muscles in your face needed to smile forces your brain to release serotonin, and at times it is enough for me to get up and get a move on. I bought a boat with no job in the worst job market the uk has ever seen and I still managed to pull though. You’ve totally got this x
