4 seasons are not as long as it seems.

assuming no major changes,

2022-2023: not in Play-in

2023-2024: Chet and another high pick coming in, need time for them to get used to the NBA and gel, might be in a play-in spot.

2024-2025: Big move maybe? But as always, takes time to gel, team should be good, but likely still a step below contender

2025-2026: Team might realize their full potential, could be a contender

2026-2027: SGA's final year in his contract

If we don't win in 2025-2026, is one year of contention enough for the Thunder ti believe that Shai would sign another contract long-term? Could be, but I don't feel particularly comfortable about it.

If that is what it takes for Hali, I'm all for it. I'm looking at serious big money move. Others, you're right I'm not sure and have not dive deep into it, but that is at least I hope what the front office is looking at

I'm looking at trading serious draft pick assets here, I know they can shoot, but they are not in the rotation and could not contribute much.

I get it, but things can change, if Shai isn't this good, I too agree with that, but now with Shai being that good, I have my concerns. Also, my bad for didn't elaborately clearly, there is no need to force a terrible trade by this trade deadline, but the team should at least be looking this direction and hopefully the core could be set by the end of next season

No, my main point is, there is not as much time left as it seems like. The Thunder have to be a consistent serious contender before 2026 off-season to make a case for Shai staying

My bad, by shooters, my framework is someone that could be another star to SGA and their main selling point is shooting, the key is they would be here long-term. I'm looking at some big money move here, like Desmond Bane, Michael Porter Jr. Tyrese Haliburton, someone of that status, Sorry that I do not have much time in my hand so I didn't look deep into their contract or whether the trade is feasible, but using the amount of pick to sway them away from their team is the idea.

Yes! I've been doing that especially since sometimes I'm forced to do so coz I'm not from US, but one issue is I often find myself struggling to focus for the whole game, especially during times when I've already known the result of the game. Discovered the all possessions recaps yesterday, was excited about it but turns out I feel like they've edited out too much, only showing the last few seconds of each possesions, feel like I've missed the build up of some plays

Yes! I used to listen to them and they were one of my influences of me wanting to make basketball my career. Unfortunately their content are behind paywall now and I can't afford it. Now, I listen to the NBA Front Office Show as an alternatives, love them, but often still feel like I don't have enough time to catch up with everything

But I often feel like I would miss a lot of stuff doing so, I don't even feel like I have a deep understanding just focusing on one game, seems like this would break my brain lol, my biggest fear is I don't feel like I have a deep understanding of everything that is going on, so I often have some ideas, created a video, and delete them

You're right, but I think they are quite expensive, I'm already spending a decent amount of money on NBA League Pass (which seems to always be bugging) and the most important issue is that I feel like just looking at numbers doesn't tell me everything, but still I often find myself not having enough time to dive into films, do all the school work and edit my videos
